TESTIMONIALS AND REFERENCES

ON ISO 9000 AND QS-9000

Mr. James Livingston - ABQC Quality Assurance Manager
ABQC hired Phil Reger as a consultant to prepare the company for ISO registration. The Project was completed and the company passed its first registration audit nine months after beginning the process.

After his initial review of the company’s quality system, Phil determined that many of the company’s computer systems could be integrated into the ISO effort. Gage calibration records and notifications were incorporated into the company’s existing preventive maintenance program. ABQC’s office network was used to establish the master list, corrective and preventive action records, training and qualification records, record retention logs, and the internal audit system. The production computer system, already in place, was used to provide work order tracking, and with minor modifications, verification of inspection acceptance status at all steps of the production process. The nonconforming material report forms are also generated by the production computer system and are prompted whenever and order is put on inspection hold.

Mr. Kris Kosidowski - President, Dimensional Inspection Service, Inc.
Being a small company, we were concerned with the cost in time and money to obtain ISO 9002 registration. Reger Quality Consultants was able to assist us in obtaining registration in four months, with only five days of consulting services. Prior to beginning the project, we complied with few of the ISO 9002 requirements, but Phil Reger helped us develop a system which would meet our needs, and that of the standard, without imposing levels of burdensome paperwork.

Mr. James Oken - MTI Calibration Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager
Phil Reger was instrumental in the completion and acceptance of our quality manual and procedures manual for ISO 9002 registration. Our registrar, Underwriter’s Laboratories, accepted our quality documentation, as submitted with absolutely no changes necessary. Many of Phil’s suggestions and ideas on how to incorporate the ISO Standards into our daily routine were very helpful, and resulted in our initial assessment, after only 6 months of implementation, having only 4 minor "action requests".

Mr. Gregory Coleman - A&E Manufacturing Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance
Our Upper Management and Professional Engineers spent thousand of hours over a 27 month time frame trying, without success, to develop an ISO 9001 Quality System. With Phil Reger’s assistance and guidance, we completely rewrote and released our new ISO 9001 Quality System in just four months. Our only regret is that we didn’t hire Reger Quality Consultants 27 months earlier.

Reger Quality Consultants helped us develop a workable Quality System, providing real world solutions to our unique situations, based on successes drawn from real manufacturing experiences. This is not an untested academic approach to ISO.

Mr. Tim Leahy - Charter Steel ISO 9000 Implementation Team Leader
Phil worked closely with us on the content, format and organization of our Quality Manual and Procedures. When we sent them to our registrar for the desk audit, he was completely blown away. He said the Quality Manual, in particular, was absolutely the best he had ever seen. His work was so thorough and so complete, that we had no nonconformances related to any omissions or incomplete documentation anywhere in our system.

We’re a steel mill, and our employees have a wide variety of educational backgrounds. It was essential that our procedures be thorough and completed, but also accessible to everyone from the oldest veteran to the rookies. Phil was able to help us bridge the gap. He even trained us on the things to remember when we were being audited. That took away a lot of the apprehension that we had.

ON QUALITY TRAINING

Mr. Thomas Lewis - Director of Quality Assurance - Mayville Engineering Company
When I was at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, we discovered the need for an extensive training program in Quality Engineering and Reliability to help us maintain our position in this highly competitive industry.

Phil Reger developed a training program specifically tailored to our needs. Some of the courses were so well received that we had to have multiple offerings at the same time. Because of his many years of experience, Phil was able to bring real life examples into his teaching, which made the courses more understandable. Phil presented this seemingly difficult material in a simple way and was rated as an "outstanding" instructor. Many of the students went on to receive the American Society for Quality Control (ASQC) Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) certificate.

ON TQM AND BALDRIGE

Mr. Dennis Nourse - President of Kelch Corporation
Our decision to have you conduct a Total Quality Management audit using the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria was one of our better decisions of the past several years. Your audit made us realize that the production of quality products and customer satisfaction depend on all our departments and functions -- not just Engineering and Manufacturing. As a result of your work for Kelch Corporation, we were able to target many areas for improvement and set obtainable goals in areas of the business we never before considered.

ON NETWORKING THE QUALITY INFORMATION SYSTEM

Mr. Roger Stewart - Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Mayville Metal Products
Every customer, almost to a person, was deeply impressed with our ability to control our operation and quickly access information necessary to assure superior products. The Local Area Network system you designed and installed was the key to our reputation for having the most advanced quality system, and our ability to ship products of the highest quality. For those customers for whom quality is paramount, showing the system almost guaranteed us the sale. This enabled us to be approved as a "Ship-to-Stock" supplier to many customers.
